Overview


CFA is a efficient piling technique in soft and medium soils, causing minimal disturban-ce and ideal for use in environmentally sensitive areas. This method of BORED(replac-ement) piling, first carried out in the United Kingdom in the mid-60's,is now the most   common type of pile constructed. Although all types of pile have their advantages and  disadvantages, the(CFA) pile is now used in all types of soil to support nearly all types of structures. The advances in concrete mix design and piling rig (computer) technology has enabled high production levels to be achieved with quality workmanship The CFA pile is essentially a non-displacement type pile. Hence, there is limited risk of damage to adjacent foundations or underground utilities from ground displacement or densification of loose sandsas can occur with displacement piles. Another advantage is that CFA piles can be installed with little vibrations or noise. Should problems occur during pile construction, it is relatively simple to re-drill and install the pile at the same location, thereby eliminating the need tore design the pile group or the pile caps.

An important feature of present day CFA piles is the use of a reliable flow meter to monitor and record the whole process of construction of this type of pile. The items recorded are usually penetration/uplift per revolution, auger depth, concrete supply per increment of auger uplift during placing, and injection pressure at the auger head.

FAE has developed and designed very high performance CFA rigs provided with high torque rotary head, crowd and extraction force winches, large diameter facility and long stroke mast.

CFA pile, also known as auger cast pile, is formed by drilling into the ground with a hollow stemmed continuous flight auger to the required depth or degree of resistance. A high slump concrete mix is then pumped down the stem of the auger. While the concrete is pumped, the auger is slowly withdrawn. The spoil on the flights is recovered by means of a hydraulic auger cleaner applied to the mast of the rig. A shaft of fluid concrete is formed to ground level. A reinforcement cage is placed along the formed and still fluid concrete column. Longer reinforcement cages can be installed by an auxiliary vibrator.

Electronic controlling system is an innovative system, developed by FAE, which controls and monitors the operation of the machines. For ease of operation, the system is controlled by a touch screen located in the cab. The system function is to enable the machines to perform different functions more efficiently. A dedicated power module electronic control and CAN Bus system ensures the main pumps and Diesel engine to work at their most effective and productive stages.

 

 

The Mast is built using the careful selection of material and with CAD designed re-enforced with HIGHTENSILE Structure boxed in. The Tri Axis arrangement of mast systems enables a very user friendly parallelogram set up that can be rig up and ready for work within few tenth minutes.

The Rotary head and Mast looks the same externally but either welding Procedures are followed strictly and supervised with highest standard possible or careful material selection during building process.

The safety purpose Non winch Rotation when lowering the Kellybar with or without tools is option. This prevents the Kellybar wire rope from messing upon the winch.

It's ensures the wire rope is always arranged in a neat and tidy manner.

Extra cushions are installed in the rotary head system to reduce damage during accidental fall of Kellybars on to the drive flange during its lifting process.
